As you may know by now James Gandolfini died at age 51 on June 19 while he was vacationing in Italy as a result of an apparant heart attack. He was best known for his roll as Tony Soprano in the HBO series Sopranos.
It seems that there’s too many artists fading away between 20-50 years of age. Of course, there’s countless millions who go on to pass who are not actors and such; we just don’t look at them as icons like Gandolfini or Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson. But these ‘stars’ do represent a picture… and there’s a point in their untimely passing. Diminished integrity in the world around them. Tell me perhaps “it was their time to go…” tell me it was fate, circumstance, or some irreverence or their God or some God that had a place or need for them in Heaven or some line to pass it as a self assuring byline. Truth is, this is how I see it. One person’s opinion but the lives of the great and maybe the not so popular compromised because the system around them is itself becoming compromised. So you can imagine the rest. With that, ask yourself one thing you can do to restore a bit of that integrity around you…One act to make that one thing or many things right. And that when the our voice will make all the difference…
